Prizegiving
The Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta Prizegiving is a truly special evening
Our historic trophy collection of over 60 trophies, together valued at nearly $100,000, dates back to the 1860s, and is on permanent display at the Maritime Museum in the Viaduct. When you win a cup, your name is engraved on it and you become a part of nautical history, forever.
In addition to the historic trophy collection, hundreds of dollars are given away in prize money, along with a fantastic line up of spot prizes from our generous regatta sponsors.
Date: Tuesday 18 February 2025
Venue: Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron
Time: 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start
Cash Bar and complimentary finger food
CASH PRIZES: Skippers must be present to claim cash prizes unless residing 50km from RNZYS and unable to attend the Prizegiving, in which case prize funds will be transferred online to the winning skippers bank account.
If you are an 'out of town' skipper (50km from RNZYS) please let us know before the Prizegiving if you are unable to attend - 0800-REGATTA or admin@regatta.org.nz
SPOT PRIZES: These will be drawn on the night and all skippers are eligible to have their names in the hat ON CONDITION you RSVP that you will be attending the Prizegiving and be present. ‘All' skippers means everyone who paid an entry fee and competed, regardless of place on the day. Spot prizes will be redrawn if the winning skipper is not present.
