Entries open for a revamped Auckland Anniversary Regatta 2026
The wait’s over – entries are now open for the 2026 Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta!
This year we’re bringing you a refreshed format, new courses and even more reasons to get out on the water – and stay for the celebrations afterwards.
What’s New for 2026:
1. The Sail Past
Before racing begins, join us for a Sail Past at midday, where vessels competing in the Regatta will parade from Westhaven to North Head. It’s set to be a spectacular celebration of sail and steam power – and the perfect opportunity to show off your boat while spectators enjoy the spectacle from the shore.
2. New start and finish line
This year’s keelboat races will start at Resolution Buoy (Ōrākei) and finish at Westhaven, bringing the action right into the heart of the city. The new course layout promises great viewing, fresh challenges, and a true “City of Sails” finish.
3. After-party at RNZYS
When the racing wraps up, the celebrations begin at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. Enjoy live music from the Royal New Zealand Navy Band, connect with fellow mariners and celebrate the day at our post-race party. Bring your crew, family and friends – it’s shaping up to be one of the best regattas yet.
