A quick reminder that entries are still open for your chance to ride on board the tugboat Christine Mary during the 2026 Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta.

If you haven’t entered this year yet, now’s a great time – because this really is one of the most memorable ways to spend Anniversary Day on the water.

You’ll join Captain Lance on the Christine Mary for a thrilling run down the harbour and back again, right in the middle of the Tugboat Race. It’s the best vantage point in the whole event – amongst the action, surrounded by the noise and excitement of the tugs, and able to see the race unfold from inside the fleet rather than watching from shore.

It’s a fun, fast and truly unique experience, and a fantastic way to be part of the Regatta, even if you’re not racing your own boat.

One lucky entrant will win two spots on board, so you can bring someone along for the ride.
